My next steps in writing

Kia ora Whanau!

Today in class we took look at our scores from our writing test and we were wondering "What should I do to make this better?" We looked on a slide or teacher shared us and we had to see what we did and what our next steps are in punctuation, vocab, organisation, sentence structure and ideas. 

For punctuation I need to get better at commas, speech marks, capital letters and exclamation marks because all I am doing is full stops and capital letters and isn't that boring? 

For vocab I need to get better at nouns, adjectives and verbs

Snow Day

On a dark snowy night I can see trees with snow on the branches and a dark snowy sky in the background. I can see bushes behind the brown house and the light glimmering on the trees as they go left and right from the wind. I can see the grass on the ground and the snow on the grass like a blanket. As the wind pushes the trees there is a reindeer in the background running like the speed of light and you might wondering where did that reindeer come from? 

The reindeer had a bell wrapped around it's neck like a collar and as it runs you can hear the bell ringing like you wanna sing a song as it runs. Its horns had Christmas light's on it and it looked like it was a beautiful Christmas tree. The reindeer was brown like a chocolate bar and it's eyes were like a golden brown Christmas ornaments. 

You must be wondering why it's running. It's running because it's getting chased by wolves! The reindeer ran like the speed of light and it was calling for help. The wolves looked hungry like it hasn't been eating in 3 weeks. The wolves were gray and they were hungry and starving. The wolves were getting faster and faster every step they take as the reindeer is running as fast as it can.

Will the reindeer escape from the hungry wolves? Or will the reindeer say it's last words? We will find out on Chapter 2! 

In my Wananga class our teacher told us what to write but in our own words and look what came out! I love this story so much because I like how it has Christmasy stuff in there like the reindeer and the snow on the ground. 

 

Business and Enterprise

Kia Ora Readers,

Today, me and my group has been making nebula necklaces. We tried so hard on these necklaces and it was fun. Sadly, we didn't get to complete our task and we had to let all that work go. Because of that, we never got to order the stuff we thought we wouldn't use. At least it was fun because we get to communicate with people we didn't know in our group and we got to make things we didn't make before. Thank you for looking at my blog and make sure to comment. A Healthy Menu For A Week

Today me and my class was in health class and my teacher made all of us a slide and it had all of the days of the week. It had breakfast, lunch and dinner on and and we had to write down what we have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here is mine and thank you for looking at my blog and make sure to comment. 100 Word Challenge

 

One hot day there was a family and they were going to the water park. There were three kids and two parents. The kids names was Apera, Maraia and Ngawari. There was one boy and two girls and they all loved each other. They went to the water park and they were having fun. The parents let the kids go and they were going to have a coffee. The kids went to all of the water slides except one. “Looks like we have one more water slide” Said Maraia. They all looked up and the water slide was huge. The Parents saw the kids and they shouted “Don’t go up there, it's too dangerous!” so they ran to the slide but they went down the slide but then there were lots of clouds and they didn’t see the kids so they went to the part where they slide down but they never came down so the parents waited and waited and waited but they never came out again. The End?

Making our own business

Kia Ora Readers,

Today me and my buddy Liv have been looking at advertisements. Advertisements (ad for short) are like a video or a picture and it gets everyone's attention. If your on TV on YouTube a video is gonna pop up. That is what a advertisement is. My teacher wanted us to make a business. We had to make a logo too. It was hard because we didn't know what kind of shop we had to do. This is our logo. Thank you for looking at my blog and make sure to comment!

 

Reflection Work

Kia Ora Readers,

I showed commitment by finishing my work and ignoring the people who is not doing their work, I also showed achievement by doing work during lock down even though I wasn't at school, I did respect by not distracting others and not disrespecting the teacher and I also showed resilience by helping others even though i'm suppose to do my work

In WGA I conpleted all my work by focusing and listening to the teacher. The work was hard over the terms but I never gave up I kept on going and going and now I completed my work. When there is a reliever/guest teacher in everyone always go silly so even though there is a new teacher coming in it doesn't mean you don't give them the same respect.

In Arts Kete I picked music production because it makes me calm and focused on the work. me and my group are working on making our new song and I thought it would be hard because I never made a song before and I don't know how to make the lyrics but with my friends help they made me think that I can do it so me and my friends try to make the song and we did it by not giving up.
