My magic poem

Today in literacy & my classmates are writing about how to make you own witch poem.

 we are finishing the work though. the first time i got it i was confused. but know i know what i am going to do.

The Three Little Pigs

We read three different versions of The The Three Little Pig. As a group we described what comped two versions of the story. We said what was the same & what was different.

the activities I completed were design a
1.wolf proof house for the pigs.
2.create a wanted poster for the wolf.
3.we wrote what the pig & the wolf would
have said to the police.
                                         

just wanting to give out a shout out

today we want to give shout outs to people we know. i want to give a shout out to my mum because All my life she has been looking after me.

The Day The Crayons Quit

In literacy we have been listening to the story called The Day The Crayons Quit. what we really have been doing was making this book about what the crayons needed to say. i found it hard because it took me for TWO DAYS to make this.

Alan the alien /summaries

In literacy the sour patch kids (reading group) have been reading 2 books about aliens. Alan the alien and an alien stole my movie.we were making a summarize about the story that we have read. what I have read was Alan the alien.

Today at literacy we have been describing a Alien. i was wondering where they lived. here's a photo of my work. i had to have wow words in my work. i found it hard but a little bit easy.

Time Challenges

Today in math strand we have been doing Time Challenges. every challenge we have to time them on a I Pad.

Athletics Day

Today we competed in our school Athletics competition. my favorite events were long distance because it gives you exercise.i did my best in the running event. i found it hard to run because we had to do 5 laps around the field.

Art

In art we have been doing the the elements. One of the elements is color. we made zebras. wewe had to use the color theory we learnt about warm and cold colors.

Math's shopping

In math yesterday we went shopping! we had to add how much our shopping cost. then we had to take a picture then we had to add it on our blog. i had to be the shopkeeper. the shopkeeper helps the people figure out how much it cost.

The Blue Zone

Today in miss Williamson's home room we had been doing zones of regulations. today we had been doing the blue zone. found it hard today it was a hot day today and i could not concentrate and it took me so long to figure out what i am going to put in.

Reading

In reading we have been reading too books called Taran and the flying scarf & Taran & the burping hat. we had too write on a sheet because we had to guess what happened in the story first then we had to read the too books second then we had to blog about it.

St Andrews Fun Day!

On Friday some leaders from St Andrews school came to South Hornby. they ran some activities for us
including Jump jam, marshmallow towers, Muiltisport, Playdoh, ping pong catapult. the also gave us some free hot dogs for lunch.

the Maori days of the week

In math we have been doing the days of the week but in Maori.we had to stick it on 

our project book in order. then we write the days of the week in English.

i found it easy because i knew the Maori words already.

Man On The Moon

In reading we are learning to summaries. We read a newspaper article about the first moon landing in 1969. We had to pick out the key words and put them into sentences.

Alien Description

In writing we are learning to use adjectives. We had to describe an alien. We brainstormed together words and sentences. We had to put them into sentence using full stops and capital letters.

Today at math strand we were learning about directions north , east , south , west. For the activity I found it hard and challenging.

The Lorax

In literacy we have been reading the story by Dr. Suess called The Lorax. We learnt all about the characters. We described The Lorax and The Once-ler . We wrote descriptions about The Once-ler. We compared the characters. We looked at what was the same and what was different about them.
