1. What year did Maori men get to vote
In the 1860s 

2. Why did people think women should not vote?
Some anti-suffragists did not want the vote because they felt it violated traditional gender norms. Many anti-suffragists felt that if women gained the vote there would be an end to "true womanhood.

3. What does the phrases "drinking their wages" mean?
Women doesn't want men to spend all their money on alcohol

4. How does WCTU help the poor?
They combat the influence of alcohol on families and society


5. What was the main form of the protest that the women used to change the law?
The signed a petition and stopped people from drinking alcohol

6. Why is Kate Sheppard on our 10$ note
Because NZ was the first country in the world to grant women to vote
