Reflection Work

Kia Ora Readers,

I showed commitment by finishing my work and ignoring the people who is not doing their work, I also showed achievement by doing work during lock down even though I wasn't at school, I did respect by not distracting others and not disrespecting the teacher and I also showed resilience by helping others even though i'm suppose to do my work

In WGA I conpleted all my work by focusing and listening to the teacher. The work was hard over the terms but I never gave up I kept on going and going and now I completed my work. When there is a reliever/guest teacher in everyone always go silly so even though there is a new teacher coming in it doesn't mean you don't give them the same respect.

In Arts Kete I picked music production because it makes me calm and focused on the work. me and my group are working on making our new song and I thought it would be hard because I never made a song before and I don't know how to make the lyrics but with my friends help they made me think that I can do it so me and my friends try to make the song and we did it by not giving up.

Tongan Language Week

Kia Ora Readers,

Last week was Tongan Language week and we wanted to learn all about Tongan. My teacher made a slide and it had activities to do and we had to put the things all about it in our slides. Here is mine. Parihaka

Today in my class we learned all about Parihaka. It all started when Tohu Kakahi and Te Whiti o Rongomai found Parihaka. Tohu and and Te Whiti wanted peace so they put down their weapons and wanted peace for their people. On November 1881 the goverment didn't like what Tohu and Te Whiti were doing so the goverment arrested many of the men in Parihaka, including Tohu and Te Whiti. In 2003, Parihaka were visited by important people like Martin Luther King Jnr, Mahatma Ghandi and the Japanese peace movement. Baking Churros

Today I looked at the work at home site for my work and one of them said Try a new Recipe. When i looked at it i asked my cousin to help me make Churros! Here are the ingredients and directions to make churros. Make sure your doing this with an adult and make sure you don't burn yourself! I might not put the photo of the churros we made because I forgot about the blog and ate the churros before we took a photo. whoops.

INGREDIENTS                                                    

FOR THE CHURROS

1 c. water

6 tbsp. butter

2 tbsp. granulated sugar

1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

1 c. all-purpose flour

1 tsp. kosher salt

2 large eggs

Vegetable oil, for frying

Cinnamon sugar

DIRECTIONS

1. Make churros: In a large saucepan over medium heat, add water, butter, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then add vanilla. Turn off heat and add flour and salt. Stir with a wooden spoon until thickened, 30 seconds. Let mixture cool for 10 minutes. 
2. To cooled mixture, using a hand mixer, beat in eggs one at a time until combined. Transfer mixture to a piping bag fitted with a large open star tip. 
3. In a large pot over medium heat, add enough oil to come halfway up the sides and heat to 375°. Holding the piping bag a few inches above the oil, carefully pipe churros into 6" long ropes. Use kitchen scissors to cut off dough from piping bag. 
4. Fry until golden, 4 to 5 minutes, turning as necessary. Fry 3 to 4 churros at a time and let oil come back to 375° before each batch. Remove churros with a slotted spoon or tongs and immediately roll churros in cinnamon sugar, then place on a cooling rack. 
5. Make chocolate dipping sauce: Place chocolate chips in a medium heatproof bowl. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring heavy cream to a simmer. Pour hot cream over chocolate chips and let sit 2 minutes. Add cinnamon and salt and whisk to combine. 
6. Serve churros with chocolate dipping sauce if you have melted chocolate

Touchpad Practise

Today me and my class have been doing this Touchpad practice for cybersmart and we had to make a copy of it of course. Each slide had instructions and steps on what to do to complete the task but if you got it wrong you have to restart. It teaches you hacks and here is mine hope you like it and make sure to comment what are some hacks you know?  

100 Word Challenge

Kia Ora Whanau,

Once upon a time there as a band that had 4 boy's in the band and they were called Reggie, Alex Luke and Trevor. They were trying to become famous but they weren't that famous. After there song they played 3 of the boy's (Reggie, Alex and Luke) were hungry so they wanted a hot dog. They saw a hot dog stand and they order a hot dog but somehow.

A few minutes later they died by poisoning in there hot dog and Trevor was the only one alive. Years later there was a girl called Julie and she loved music and love her family but mostly she loves her mum because she passed away when she was little. Se lives with her Dad and her little brother and she goes to a school called Los Feliz High School. After she went home she heard a noise in her garage and then the 3 boys who just showed up out of nowhere and the girl screamed and screamed. She tried to tell her Dad but he didn't believe her. 

In the Morning she found out that they died in 1995 so she asked them what happened. So they had to do unfinished business. They became friends but then the boys found out that there old friend trevor was old and he stole there old bands songs so that he can get famous so they went to his house and haunted him till he stop making songs. In the end, the boys decided to cross over. They thought that since they died right before performing at the Orpheum, playing that show must be their unfinished business. So, helped by Willie, they secured an opening night gig at the theater and played their hearts out. But after the show, they didn't cross over.  The End?
